RAN Appoints Gbadamosi Olanrewaju Ibrahim as Coordinator of Ogbomosho Book Club

 

RAN APPOINTS GBADAMOSI OLANREWAJU IBRAHIM AS COORDINATOR OF OGBOMOSHO BOOK CLUB


 

The National Steering Committee of Read Across Nigeria (RAN), a registered organization with the Corporate Affairs Commission (Registration Number: 7496657), has announced the appointment of Gbadamosi Olanrewaju Ibrahim as the Coordinator of Ogbomosho Book Club. This appointment, which stressed RAN's commitment to fostering a vibrant reading culture in Nigeria, is for an initial term of two years, renewable based on performance.

Ogbomosho Book Club is one of the numerous reading clubs under RAN, an initiative of the Society of Young Nigerian Writers (SYNW Global). The club aims to promote literacy, inspire a love for reading, and provide a platform for book enthusiasts to engage in intellectual discourse.

The appointment was confirmed through a press statement issued by Wole Adedoyin, National Coordinator of RAN and President of SYNW Global. Adedoyin expressed confidence in Gbadamosi's ability to lead the Ogbomosho Book Club effectively, given his extensive experience and passion for storytelling and community development.

Born and raised in Ibadan, Gbadamosi Olanrewaju Ibrahim is a journalist with a unique blend of skills and a background in urban planning. Currently a presenter with Parrot FM, Ogbomosho, he attended Loyola College, Ibadan, before earning a Bachelor of Technology in Urban and Regional Planning from Ladoke Akintola University of Technology (LAUTECH). He later pursued a Post Graduate Diploma in Advertising, showcasing his versatility and dedication to lifelong learning.

Gbadamosi's transition from town planning to journalism has been marked by a deep dedication to uncovering and narrating impactful stories. With over five years of experience as a reporter, he has become known for his ability to delve into the intersection of urban development, policy, and community issues, providing nuanced insights that resonate with diverse audiences.

His background in urban planning equips him with a sharp eye for detail and a profound understanding of the dynamics shaping cities, towns, and cultural landscapes. This unique perspective will undoubtedly enhance his leadership of the Ogbomosho Book Club, fostering discussions that connect literature with broader societal themes.

As Coordinator, Gbadamosi is expected to bring innovative ideas to the club, organize engaging literary events, and inspire members to explore the transformative power of books. His journalistic and planning expertise positions him to curate programs that address contemporary challenges while celebrating literary heritage.
