NOTABLE PERSONALITIES TO GRACE DR. ADEBOLA ISHOLA’S BOOK LAUNCH

 

The cream de la cream from all walks of life across Oyo State socio- political and religious landscape,will converge on Thursday, 25th April 2024,at Aare Afebabalola Hall, Iyaganku Ibadan for the public presentation and launching of Dr.(Mrs) Adebola Ishola’s book titled,"Domestic Violence and Faith Integration in Nigeria". 

 

The book launch slated for the NBA Hall on Leaf Road, Iyaganku, Ibadan, promises to be a landmark event fostering intellectual,spiritual reflections and societal advocacy bordering on the rampant and worrisome subject of domestic violence  threatening the fabric of family institution.

 

Dr. Ishola,an erudite scholar and the author of this groundbreaking book, possesses a PhD in Political Science and Public Administration from Babcock University. Throughout her impressive career cutting across both public and private sectors, she has served in esteemed positions including the Policy Analysis Department of the Federal Ministry of Industry and the Nigeria Institute of Social and Economic Research (NISER).

 

Dr. Ishola’s dedication to rigorous academic research is evident in her six publications featured in reputable journals. Her membership in the Association of Public Administration Researchers (ASPAR) and the Midwest Political Science Association (MPSA) Chicago further underscores her scholarly expertise in exploring the intersection between domestic violence and faith-based practices in Nigeria.

 

Adding immense value to the launching program are prominent figures who embodied leadership, advocacy, and faith.

Bishop Francis Wale Oke, President of the Pentecostal Fellowship of Nigeria (PFN), and Revd. Emmanuel Olasupo Ajao, Associate General Overseer of the New Covenant Church and Alhaji Dahud Mokanjuola Akinola (D-Damak), a well revered Aare Musulumi of Yorubaland,Edo and Delta,and Aare of Ibadanland, will serve as Launcher and Father of the Day and Co-Launchers, offering their spiritual insightful perspectives and guidance on the subject matter.

 

Justice Iyabo Yerima, the  Chief Judge of Oyo state, will preside as Chairperson of the day, lending her legal acumen and unwavering commitment to justice to the discussion. Additionally, Hon. Segun Olayiwola, the Honorable Commissioner for Local Government and Chieftaincy Matters, will extend the warm hospitality of Ibadan to all attendees.

 

The book launch will feature insightful reviews by Ms. Abiola Abiade,a legal icon from the faculty of law,Lead City University, Ibadan.
